FAQs for the Prevention Education Modules for Sexual Assault Prevention (SAP)

I am receiving messages that I have not completed the module; is this automated?

Reminder messages for incomplete SAP modules are sent to students on a rolling basis; if you have recently completed the module, there may be a slight delay in between the time you completed the module and the time the data for the messages was drawn. You may check your trojanlearn.usc.edu transcript to see if you have completed the module, and you may check my.usc.edu to check if you have any assigned modules that are incomplete.

I think all my assigned modules are complete–how can I confirm this?

You may check my.usc.edu to check if you have any assigned modules that are incomplete.

Didn’t I already take this training?

If you are a continuing student (not in your first year of attendance), your assigned module is SAP, Ongoing. This is a new module for returning students.

I’m a remote student in an online degree program—do I have to take this training?

Yes, online degree program students are required to complete the SAP modules assigned to them.

I completed a similar training during undergrad at another institution, do I have to take this one?

Yes, you are required to complete the requirements as a current USC student. This specific training module includes policies, processes, and resources specific to USC. You can contact the Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX (EEO-TIX) at eeotix@usc.edu for further guidance.

I’m having technical problems with the module, who should I contact?

For technical questions, please review the “FAQs for Tech Support” page or contact Trojan Learn at 213-821-8100 or trojanlearn@usc.edu.

I have a policy question about this requirement, who should I contact?

For policy questions about the Sexual Assault Prevention modules (SAPU, SAPG, SAPO), contact the Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX at 213-740-5086 or eeotix@usc.edu.

I am a survivor with experiences that would be the basis of an accommodation to exempt me from the content of this training. Who should I contact?

Contact the Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX at 213-740-5086 or eeotix@usc.edu.

Is Part 2 of the SAP module required by August 22?

No. You will be sent an automatic reminder when Part 2 of the training is available to you. This milestone is initiated 45 days after you complete Part 1.

I am completing my degree this fall semester, do I have to complete this module?

Yes, you are advised to complete the training by the deadline, as incomplete requirements will place a hold on your account for any future registration and also result in a late fee added to your account.

What happens if I don’t complete this module by August 22?

A hold will be applied to your registration; you will not be able to add classes or register for the spring semester. A late fee will be applied to your student account.
