The USC Student Affairs logotype is the official configuration of the division’s name and serves as its primary identification. Always use the logotype on all publication covers and materials. The logotype is designed for use across all media. Always use approved artwork. Do not attempt to typeset or re-create the logotype. Use only the approved digital artwork.
The logotype must be surrounded on all sides by a uniform clear space to separate it distinctly from other graphic elements. This separation provides graphic impact and preserves the integrity of the mark. The minimum required clear space equals the height of the logotype’s capital letters. Never crop the logotype or position it on a highly textured or patterned background that will diminish legibility. The logotype should be considered as one unit and not as separate elements that can be manipulated individually.
The letter forms of the logotype are proportional and should not be scaled individually. For printed material, the minimum logotype size is 1.5 inches in width. For Web or video applications, the minimum logotype width is 100 pixels at 72 pixels per inch. When embroidering the logotype on merchandise, the minimum height is .5 inches. Reproducing the logotype smaller than the minimum size will compromise legibility.
EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) and JPG files for the approved versions of the USC Student Affairs logotype are available. For more information or assistance, contact Dane Martens at SAlogos@usc.edu.
