Student Affairs departments (and their subdivisions) are responsible for compliance with both the USC and USC Student Affairs graphic identity programs. This compliance extends to student programs or student communications that Student Affairs departments manage. As outlined in the Student Organization Logos Policy in SCampus, student organizations are encouraged — but not required — to identify their relationship with the university in accordance with the USC Graphic Identity Program. By extension, student organizations are encouraged to follow the Student Affairs identity guidelines, but are not mandated to do so.

For joint programs or communications presented by a Student Affairs department and a student organization, the Student Affairs identity guidelines (and the USC Graphic Identity Program) apply, recognizing the university’s sponsorship role.
