Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct

March 30, 2015

Dear USC Students,

USC is participating in The Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct, an important initiative led by the Association of American Universities (AAU).

In early April, students will receive individualized emails that link to an online survey.  The survey should take between 20 – 30 minutes to complete.   Please be on the lookout for this survey email message from campusclimatesurvey@westat.com.

To encourage students to respond to this survey, between April 1-21, 2015, a sample of 6,000 students will be offered a $5 Amazon gift card for completing the survey.  Those students who are not selected for the gift card sample will automatically be entered into a lottery to win one $500 prize by visiting the survey website.

We believe the data collected from this survey will prove to be an important resource in shaping key safety, law enforcement and adjudication measures both on our own campus and in the larger context of American higher education, and we are relying on your participation to hear from as many student voices as possible.

USC is committed to fostering a safe campus environment, where all members of our community are able to pursue their work and education in an environment free from sexual coercion, violence and sexual intimidation.  For additional information on resources and policies related to this topic, please visit the Sexual Assault Resource Center website at sarc.usc.edu.

Sincerely,

Ainsley Carry
Vice Provost for Student Affairs
