Enhance the culture of equity and inclusion

Individuals who are respected, valued, and treated equitably are the cornerstones to a diverse and inclusive community. We are guided by the principle that all students, staff, and faculty, with our various identities and backgrounds, are full members of the Trojan Family. Through upholding our Principles of Community and recognizing our past, we seek to be a leader in improving and enhancing university climate.

Year 2 Objectives

  1. Embed an equity and inclusion framework throughout student affairs departments, programs and services
  2. Create an environment of continuous learning and fluency in pursuit of cultural competency
  3. Create unit-specific equity and inclusion strategic plans that feed into the larger Division of Student Affairs Equity and Inclusion Plan
  4. Integrate core values into performance reviews, including a Division of Student Affairs Code of Ethics contract
