This Style Guide, created by University Publications, contains editorial guidelines for grammar and punctuation as well as university-specific conventions, such as the proper names of schools and departments. It is intended to provide a set of consistent editorial standards specifically for Student Affairs publications as well as other university documents. It is not designed to be a guideline for technical or academic writing.
Our goal is to offer a thorough and detailed editorial resource. Guidelines are based on university style as well as the AP Stylebook (2010) and Merriam Webster online dictionary (M-W.com). Additions will be made as needed.
