Dear Parents & Families:

Welcome to the University of Southern California and the Trojan Family. Thank you for entrusting us with your most treasured asset — your student’s continuing education. As Vice PresidentĀ for Student Affairs, I oversee a team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly inside and outside the classroom to help all students have the full USC experience — first-class academics, athletics, and campus life. We are honored you chose USC and look forward to exceeding your expectations.

We, parents and the University, share a common mission. USC parents and families want their students to be safe, enjoy their college experience, graduate, and become productive citizens; we share these aspirations. For this reason, USC considers parents as partners in our efforts to help students achieve their academic, personal, and career goals. We know that this generation of students is more likely to call their parents or guardians about campus issues instead of coming to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Therefore, as partners, we:

  • Welcome your questions and feedback to help us make USC the best place in the world to go to college
  • Expect to work together to do what is in the best interest of students’ long-term success
  • Will join forces to guide your student through the predictable and sometimes unpredictable challenges of college life

Parents and families are a crucial factor in the student success equation. We share common interests and the opportunity to combine efforts to advance your student’s success as our primary mission. I hope you will use the Division of Student Affairs to answer tough questions and explore creative solutions to your student’s challenges. Let us know how we can be of service to your student and family. Welcome to the Trojan family.
