Carl Martellino

carlCarl Martellino joined the University of Southern California as Executive Director of the Career Center and Associate Dean of Student Affairs in June 2011.

Carl has worked in the fields of organizational effectiveness and career development for twenty years. Prior to joining USC, he served as the Director of Career Development at Pomona College and held the position of Assistant Director and Career Counselor at the Parker MBA Career Management Center at The Anderson School at UCLA.

Carl’s leadership roles include being a contributor on the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Future Directions Task Force, Past President of the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE), and President of the Western Association of Colleges and Employers (WACE), where he successfully led the organization through a merger process with the Rocky Mountain Association to form the new association, MPACE. Carl has presented at national and regional conferences on a variety of career services topics. He has also served as a longstanding member of the MonsterTRAK Advisory Council, authored the by-laws for the National Internship Consortium (NIC), and served as an advisor to Workplex, an online career-related video venture.

Carl received his BA in Psychology with a Business and Administration emphasis and his MA in Educational Psychology from UCLA.
