Beginning this fall, the USC’s Provost’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program for Clinical Residents and Fellows will provide resources to promote “scholarly activity” for promising doctors.

Senior members of residency programs and/or fellowship programs at University Hospital, LAC+USC Hospital or Children’s Hospital Los Angeles whose programs allow significant time for research as well as completion of advanced degrees are eligible to apply. Those who are chosen will be awarded postdoctoral scholar status at USC and will be eligible for up to 20 units of graduate tuition funding.

USC Provost Elizabeth Garrett and Dean of the Keck School of Medicine at USC Carmen Puliafito have partnered on this program to attract outstanding MDs with lofty career aspirations to the USC clinical residency programs.
