Nominate Your Professor for a Beckman Award

The Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Advisory Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Beckman Award, a distinction given to inspiring professors who have propelled their former students to enact change.Professors in the fields of psychology, medicine and law are given preference, but every awardee will receive a cash award of $25,000.
Gail McKnight Beckman established the Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Trust in 2008 to benefit educators who have inspired students to achieve great things, such as “create an organization which has demonstrably conferred a benefit on the community at large.”
Nomination application packages are due July 15 at 5 p.m. (EST). Before sending in your nomination, please email your professor’s name and department to Sue Vogl, director of University Publications, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
