Does your camera or camera phone bring out your creative streak? Put your talent to work!
In anticipation of the Festival of Books, which will be held from April 20–21 on the USC University Park Campus, the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles Times invite you to submit an original photo that captures a literary moment — a favorite reading spot, a recreation of a scene from a book, an interpretation of a book title, an improvised book cover, or interpretations of literary authors, figures, or characters.
Dress up as a beloved book character, sketch your favorite scene from literature, act out a memorable literary moment, capture it with a photo and you could be a winner!
Judges will be looking for your interpretation and commentary on a literary work. Top prizes include a Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader and gift cards. Contest is open until April 12, 2013.
